Notifications and News Alerts

How to manage the types of notifications you receive from The Star in your browser settings

Chrome

  • Select Chrome > Preferences.

  • They can either search for Notifications and select Site Settings > Notifications OR from Preferences, go to Privacy and Security > Site Settings > Notifications

  • They can manage notifications by site or for their entire browser. To turn off notifications from the Star, scroll to the section called “Allowed to send notifications”, select the triple dots and then Remove.

Safari

  • Select Safari > Preferences

  • Scroll down the left menu to Notifications

  • Find The Star on the site list and select Allow and switch it to Deny or they can remove it entirely using the Remove button from the bottom

Firefox

  • Select Firefox > Preferences

  • They can either search for Notifications and select Settings OR from Preferences, go to Privacy & Security > Permissions > Notifications

  • Find The Star on the site list and select Allow and switch it to Deny or they can remove it entirely using the Remove Website button from the bottom

Edge

  • Select the triple dots to access Settings in Edge > Cookies and Site Permissions > Notifications

  • Under Allow, locate The Star on the site list and using the triple dots, select remove or block
